I find it challenging to write about myself in the 3rd person as so many artists do. It feels like I’m reading about someone other than myself. I’m a simple human being. I love nature, birding, hiking and photography, not necessarily in that order. Add music, reading, film, and writing to that list, but again not necessarily in that order. I love to play the piano, when occasionally there is a piano in my house. I live in western Massachusetts and love to travel, but I love New England the best. I’ve started a blog. The link is above. The first one is about nature. The ensuing ones probably will be, too.
A dozen years ago, when I got back into photography seriously, I only took shots of flowers. Eventually, my curiosity got the best of me and I created projects to expand my repertoire. I worked on landscapes, waterfalls, wildlife, eventually people [which is a lot like photographing flowers], and ‘other stuff.’ A few years ago I started playing in my digital darkroom.
I also do portrait, family portraits, high school seniors, pet photography, and small event photography. Details and prices are under the ‘Prints & Services’ tab.
If you’re interested in purchasing my prints or if you’re looking for a particular subject matter or color scheme, let me know what you’re looking for. I just might have it.
